We really want to move, have for awhile but of course in today’s situation we can’t sell our house and thus are stuck driving back and forth every weekend for weddings. Not always bad though.

August 28, 2009Sheila and Joe Married!
August 19, 2009Sheilah and Joe were married this month in Grand Rapids at St. Thomas the Apostle. It was a beautiful wedding with some very sweet people and in spite of the rain we got a lot of wonderful shots. It was a pleasure to have lots of time with the bride and groom to play around with different locations and get tons of shots between the wedding and reception. The reception took place at The Bob in Grand Rapids in the newly renovated Eve Lounge. It was really cool we almost didn’t recognize it from last year! Here is a preview of the beautiful wedding!
We also had the pleasure of working with Owen Video and if you watch the trailer for Sheila and Joe you will see Mike and I quite a few times.
Joy and Kevin Married!
August 13, 2009We took a day trip to Traverse City awhile back and shot this sweet couples wedding. It was a fun day and in spite of the threat of rain everything went swimingly! Congrats to the both of you! The wedding took place at Central United Methodist and the reception at Hagerty Center. We also had fun meeting the videographers who work out of Traverse City, Zack Wessels of Traverse City Video.
Natalie and Bobby are Married!
August 3, 2009Natalie and Bobby’s wedding was gorgeous and so fun! It is always a pleasure to shoot for people I know and always a bit more meaningful. While I don’t know Natalie very well, I did go to High School with her sister and Bobby’s! Natalie’s mom gave me one of my most favorite compliments ever. She told me that my photos weren’t just photos but little memories (and moments) captured forever. So cute.
Thanks Ella! The reception took place at The Polo Fields (and it really was a beautiful location).
The boys and their guns (literally!)
Fave!
They were too cute! Very happy couple.
The chocolate fountain was a hit!
The adorable DJ’s!
The girls did a little dance for the guests, it was awesome.
Kristina and Jay are married!
June 8, 2009As a wedding photographer I tend not to pick favorites when it comes to actual weddings. If the couple is in love and happy then it is a good wedding in my book. If a couple goes the extra mile then it is a great wedding. This wedding was gorgeous and I think I find myself being partial to it because of the location and wonderful laid back atmosphere. But the location! It was at River Birch Lodge in Hartland MI. Mike and I have thought about where we want to do a vow renewal when the day comes, because yes we are those type of people and will be having a big bash to celebrate somewhere down the road, and this is now on the top of my list for locations. Probably another reason I LOVE this wedding.
So this post is totally dedicated to the DETAILS! Mmmmmmm

Our friends at A Moment in Time did the flowers and were also the day of planners. They are awesome if you are thinking of having an event planner involved in your wedding!
And all the food and baked goods (and there were alot) were done by Epoch Catering.
Ok, I might have gone overboard… But can you blame me? And actually there will be more to come very soon!
