We took the kids to Grand Rapids last week and saw some good art, some not so good art and some horrible art! ha. Here are a few shots from the day.
My favorite from the show!! Awesome!
Go Vidas!
Sheilah and Joe were married this month in Grand Rapids at St. Thomas the Apostle. It was a beautiful wedding with some very sweet people and in spite of the rain we got a lot of wonderful shots. It was a pleasure to have lots of time with the bride and groom to play around with different locations and get tons of shots between the wedding and reception. The reception took place at The Bob in Grand Rapids in the newly renovated Eve Lounge. It was really cool we almost didn’t recognize it from last year! Here is a preview of the beautiful wedding!
We also had the pleasure of working with Owen Video and if you watch the trailer for Sheila and Joe you will see Mike and I quite a few times.
Last year around this time we took a trip to the Grand Rapids zoo. This year was SO different than last year. I was struck by how crazy it was to have two kids with us instead of one. Last year Delilah was just a bun in the oven and I was exhausted before we even started out on our animal adventure. I remember being winded by the end of our trip and really needing a nap last year. This year seamed so effortless and I couldn’t even imagine being tired walking the length of the tiny zoo. Mike and I love this zoo cause we both think it is exactly the right size! The Detroit zoo is nice but so so so big for just a 4 year old to explore. Grand Rapids has so many animals but is just the right size. There are camel rides, sting rays you can pet, a bird cage you can feed the birds from and a petting farm. The penguins are so cool and really close up too (that was always my favorite when I was little). I think we will take another trip when it is cooler, but here are some pics of my wild and crazy kids.
This year he actually touched the sting rays! Last year he wanted nothing to do with them!
Mike and Parker feeding the birds!
Her favorite sleepy time bear. So cute!
And the zoo last year!!! He hasn’t changed too much right? Zoo 2008
