My sis Jenny just recently got engaged and I want to say congrats to her and Kevin! We are of course in the middle of planning and its super fun. Some of you might remember that last year my baby sister was married and of course this made the wedding season much more crazy. So this year we have another wedding and of course that could possibly mean another crazy wedding season. But I am nothing but excited about it! Our brides are awesome this year, absolutly amazing and I can’t wait to work with each and every one of them! And with another wedding on the books we are officially only taking two more weddings in 2010 to close up our season! So if you are on the fence, jump off, or contact us about shooting your wedding.
Hope everyone is having an amazing winter and looking forward to the warmth of spring just around the corner!

Congrats little sister!
January 27, 2010Christmas is coming!
December 21, 2009I have been neglecting the blog lately, I am sorry. I think after wedding season my brain went into OFF mode. I have been shooting here and there, but mostly I have been cuddling the kidos and getting ready for Christmas! So to start off the fun of catching up on blog posts I will post a few fun family shots (since this is how my time has been spent).
My cousin had a beautiful baby girl! I had the joy of spending a weekend up north with them and took a few pics of the new second cousin, once removed.
Isn’t she lovely!
Thanksgiving came and went super fast and of course now Christmas is only days away. My family is crazy fun and I am excited to spend some time with them soon!
And of course my hands have been full with the two cutest kids in the whole world. Maybe a little biased here…
So now that I have caught up on almost all my holiday shopping (and crafting this year!), I will attempt to update with a few more blog posts before Christmas! Also, just a quick note to say we are going to have a little contest/giveaway in February, so keep your ears and eyes sharp! Merry Christmas!
Happy Birthday baby Delilah!
November 6, 2009I can not believe it! My baby girl is a year old today! It just goes by so fast it is insane. I am so sad that she is growing up but so happy to be blessed with such a beautiful, fun, happy little girl. She could not be more special to me and I just want to say Happy Birthday princess! Here are a few pics from our one year photo shoot. She liked eating the leaves and got super dirty but it was fun.
Wedding time!
October 8, 2009It’s always great to go to weddings that I am not working, even better to go to a wedding at home in my pjs with a little popcorn and bubbly for company. Of course being the nerd that I am I mean Jim and Pam’s big wedding tonight! I have been a fan of The Office since day one and of course love Jim and Pam! So tonight is the wedding episode and everyone should tune in.
Happenings!
October 6, 2009So I am the type of person who tries to LOVE the little things. This being said I thought I needed to post some of these little things for everyone to enjoy! To start this post off I would like to say, GO SEE ZOMBIELAND! If you don’t mind humorous gore, than I say go and enjoy some Zombieland fun for yourself. The best part about the movie would have to be the rules! Rule number 32 would be Enjoy the Little Things! And of course that should be a rule for EVERYONE!
Next, I found a great Mod Retro Indie Clothing site. No really, it rocks. I haven’t made a purchase yet but will be soon! Check it out! Modcloth
Love these!
And I will be buying this pillow!
There are a ton of great tops but most of the ones I like are actually sold out, which is a total bummer. Here are a few that I am loving!
Of course I also love Anthropologie. Yum!
A little something from Southern Weddings Blog! I love everything about this post. Of course Southern Weddings Blog is one of my favorite places to look at eye candy! Check out there most resent blog post.
Lastly, one of my goals this winter is to learn to knit! I have done it before, but I want to really tackle a project and get something accomplished with it. If it weren’t for shooting weddings all summer I would do much more with my hands. Crafts and painting, anything that I can tackle is always fun. I have been working on my sewing skills and I still want to keep that up but knitting will be my next endeavor. So one project I would love to do is this awesome scarf! The blog is Do you Mind if I Knit and it rocks!
Next I am going to post about the books I have been reading! Lots of fun summer reading that I am dying to share.
Art Prize
October 1, 2009We took the kids to Grand Rapids last week and saw some good art, some not so good art and some horrible art! ha. Here are a few shots from the day.

October 1, 2009Preschool
October 1, 2009My little man has started his journey through the school years. I am scared and excited for him. I have alot of hang ups when it comes to group learning and the way schools are run, but since there isn’t much you can do in the grand scheme of things I am really trying to just enjoy this time. So when I helped in his class it was really fun to get a few shots of what was going on in his class. He had so much fun and has met many little friends, which is always good!

Brandon and Taryn
September 14, 2009I couldn’t have been happier to take these two’s photos (just for fun). They were so cute and very much in love and even though Brandon would rather be behind the camera than in front of it he actually did a great job after the first few attempts to warm up to the camera. They changed outfits 3 times and here are some samples of their photos and what they wore.
Preschool for my little guy!
September 11, 2009Delilah is 10 months old and Parker is heading to preschool! Where does the time go? I can’t believe how fast they are growing up.
Parker started preschool on Wednesday and while he had no problem what so ever, I on the other hand felt a bit lost. I walked around aimlessly cause I wasn’t ready to leave him for the next 13-17 years of his life in the hands of teachers, and school bells, bullies, friends, enemy’s, etc. etc. It is all so strange for me. But I know he is perfectly capable, likable, friendly and funny. He will have a good time, even when I am freaking out!
