Emily & Ryan

September 10, 2008

WOO HOO, our first blog post ever on our new blog. I am very pumped about the blog and still excited about our website update. Life is good at the moment and I know that we will constantly be changing things, but it feels like so much has come to a close this week that I can relax and kick my feet up.

That being said I am so excited that Emily and Ryan are the first wedding to be featured on the new blog. Mostly I say this because of how wonderful their wedding was. Ryan quoted it pretty well when he told me at the end of the night, “This day would have been completely perfect if it weren’t for the (vender’s name here, who I will not mention out of the goodness of my heart).” Honestly, even with that little problem and of course the little down pour we experienced (luckily after the outdoor ceremony) everything went extremely well. And to top it off it was just fun, Emily and Ryan were so easy to get along with, there was enough time for everything (photo wise) and they just had so much fun with everything. From beginning to end it was one of my favorite weddings. So in honor of the new featured gallery that will be going up on the website soon, this blog post is going to be a bit long. :) I also want to say, to view our old blog and see alot more work than we have here right now, check out the links on the top right hand corner.

Here we go, there are ALOT of images here, I am talking a ridiculous amount and I might have to narrow them down more as I go.

The girls getting ready. I loved their dresses, colors and their little hand bags. :)

We had some extra time to shoot the girls and the bride before the wedding (which is always a wonderful idea in our humble opinion)

The bride and groom headed to what I believe they called the reflecting pond for a toast with the wedding party.

This guy wasn’t thrilled about the foam, but I thought it was kinda cool.

If anyone knows what those top goodies are. The ones that look like peanuts, let me know. They were delightful, and I don’t think that is just the baby talking.

First dance, it was a very sweet moment.

A great sister’s moment.

And my absolute favorite thing of the night! At a table they had Polaroids for their guest and costumes. I couldn’t believe how into it everyone was and we got a ton of photos of the fun, and a few of the aftermath. It was such a great idea, especially if you want pics of your guests during the reception.

Last but not least, just a few dancing shots before this incredibly long post is done!

Um…it is now 2AM. I am ready for some shut eye. Good night all!

You & Mike were so nice to work with – we trusted your creative eye and you didn’t disappoint.

I’ve shared this blog with just about everyone; so now I’ll post some comments they’ve made….

  2. David Cordell says:

David is a designer co-worker and friend that attended the wedding. After I sent him the link to the blog, this was his reply…

“Those pictures are stunning Emily. I have never seen wedding photos quite like it. I know nothing about photography, so I don’t know if it is the light or the way they are shot or what, but they look amazing. You look just as stunning in the photos as you did in real life, I got all goose bumpily when I looked at them.”

  3. my bosses says:

After I sent the link to my office, I got many great comments and feedback. My two bosses [that are designers and have a critical eye] said the following…..

Diana: “That photographer was phenomenal. Not to take anything away from you, because you were a beautiful bride…but that photographer was phenomenal!”

Ken: “Those pictures were really great. They looked like they came right out of a Martha Stewart magazine.”

  5. Jeanette says:

Those were truly lovely. I really liked the last dancing picture. Looked like a real family moment. I always love the way you photograph the accents and little memories. Those fade from the mind with time, and it’s priceless the way you capture them forever.
